Luc Oursel makes official visit to Niger

Luc Oursel made a visit to Niger on July 23 and 24, a few weeks after his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of AREVA. Accompanying him were Sébastien de Montessus, Senior Executive Vice President, Mining Business Group, and Jean-Michel Chéreau, Vice President, Protection of the group.

On arriving in Niamey, the delegation from AREVA spoke successively with Nigerien president Mahamadou Issoufou, prime minister Briggi Rafini, and mines and energy minister Foumakoye Gado.

Luc Oursel continued his visit by traveling to Arlit to inspect the security system put in place to protect the personnel and facilities. This system was set up in close collaboration with Nigerien and French authorities.
