AREVA personnel from Niger took part in the seventh Journées Entreprises, a job fair organized by the International Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering (Institut International d'Ingénierie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement – 2IE*) and held on the institute's campus at Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on June 14 and 15, 2012.

An event included in the Group's program to provide educational and training opportunities to young people in Niger, Journées Entreprises, sponsored by Imad Toumi, managing director of AREVA Mines Niger, gives students and graduates an occasion to meet with representatives of companies that want to contribute to Africa's development.

A delegation from AREVA Mines Niger was on hand to inform students from 2IE about the Group's mining activities, mining occupations, and employment opportunities at AREVA subsidiaries in Niger. Nearly 100 applications for jobs or training were received during the two-day event.

AREVA also used the job fair to award a prize to the best project carried out by students at Business Plan competition at the institute.
